About Me

This is just a blog of my adventures in Girlguiding with our little Guide unit in the UK.

I'm a forty-something wife and mother, who came to guiding in 2013 when my eldest daughter moved up from Brownies to Guides, and I offered to help out occasionally at the unit if they needed an extra pair of hands...became a regular unit helper, then did my Leadership Qualification, and now help run a unit with two other wonderful Guiders.  I also mentor other leaders-in-training, hopefully helping them towards achieving their Leadership Qualifications.

I work full time as a software tester in medical imaging, and spend my non-paid-working hours cooking, nagging teenagers, planning Guide activities and playing music. I don't spend anywhere near as much time reading, playing music or drinking coffee as I'd like.
